Hello!
I did this work 2 years ago (2014-1015 year), but I could not show it earlier, according to the rules of publisher.
Several animations for game Monstergotchi. I used Procreate Ipad3 (drawing characters) + Photoshop (correction) + Spine (animation). All characters tied to one skeleton. For this reason, any animation is compatible with any of the monsters.

hey there great work, i got a question if you don't mind, how did you do all the different assets that are on the head? lets say for the crab one that he takes out his eyes and he hits with them, in your sample skeleton its only one head bone, are there more bones but not visible?

how did you manage to have all the various assets from all the skins in one skeleton without getting super messy? or did it get super messy?

thanks

Hello, thank you all for the feedback! :)

About one skeleton for all monsters: In some animations I used additional bones. So that they do not interfere with me, I placed them on the side of the main model.
Basically, almost all animations are suitable for any model. For this there is no dirt. In unique animations, I added additional bones to the model.

@SCIA this is great work! Actually I am planning a similar project with a small Team of 3 Developers. I haven't worked with Spine so far and I have to figure out, how to create one Character Rig which will be reusable for different Skins and Equipment. Just like you did.

I am really interested in your project files or more information about your workflow in Detail.
Is there any chance to share this? :)

Cheers

Okay, no Problem :).

Actually I am mostly interested in this part:
In unique animations, I added additional bones to the model.
How did you actually manage to have bones animationwise/skinwise? Or are these extra bones omnipresent in each and every animation and skin?

The backgorund behind this question is that I am also planning to have a major skeleton for the base character, but the character should be customizable in terms of skin and extra equipment.

Thanks in advance :)

The skeleton for all characters is the same. And the bones for all animations are the same. Only in unique animations for the head, I use extra bones (those to the left of the main skeleton, in other situations they are always hidden).
