Hi Esoteric Team,
Currently I am underway with my grenade launcher animations. I am trying to duplicate my shotgun skin and make the grenade launcher skin only different in regards to the gun he is holding. However upon duplicating the shotgun skin my character cannot keep any of the gun changes I make different between the shotgun skin and the grenade launcher skin. This is problematic because it slows me down a lot. Basically I need to remesh my entire character manually, add his new meshed slots to the current bone structure I have, then rig the grenade launcher. All in all this one job is not a ton of work but when I know I have 15 guns and three armor suits i want him to wear this turns into doing this another 45 times. Any help!!!
Edit: After creating a seperate skin that is completely different from the first skin. I have noticed that when using the same images, the draw order was messed up upon adding the images to the canvas. Perhaps this is because the first images added to the canvas are put towards the top of the draw order? This then screws up the draw order for the shotgun skin.
Last Edit: Ok so I think If I change the weapons during the animation specific to the weapon I can avoid using skins all together. That way all I need to do is animate the weapon's aiming and shooting states and then call those states during gameplay. The amount of animations will increase on the skeleton but the skins will drop dramatically.
