Essentials missing APNG?

Hi,

I just paid for the essentials version, but APNG export is not there? It was in the trial, but greyed out of course. I bought this package especially for this feature and it's not listed as a pro feature.

any help?

Hello, don't worry, it's all there! You need to enable beta in the settings:
press F12, enable the beta checkbox, save settings, then restart Spine to be able to see the new features. (Trial is showing the beta!)

Can i put in a request for a future feature:

Some of the APNGs are quite large, it would be excellent to have a PNG8 option. Right now, i can do this (albetit a bit slow) by loading into photopea.com and saving PNG. The resultant size drops by a factor of about 4 and looks the same.

Aye, we'd like to add 8-bit PNG support, which would use our fancy quantization and other features that you see for GIF export. Until then, you could just use GIF. Both GIF and (8-bit) PNG use a 256 color palette with up to 1 color used for transparency. PNG will be a little smaller, but the difference is probably not huge.
