Hello, today I was trying to learn about clipping masks in Spine and how to use them and I was having a bit of trouble with them, and a friend over a video call was showing me how to use them and was telling me about the red boxes around the things being effected by the clipping mask, and I just could not see them at all due to a slight red color blindness I have that makes light reds look grey, and since Spine's UI is all light grey the light red just completely blends in for me and I cannot see the borders of the clipping mask in either the viewport or the hierarchy.
so I wanted to put in a request to allow us to change the user interface colors to be more colorblind friendly. just something to help add a little bit of visibility to some of the ligher UI elements. there are many different types of colorblindness so having a variety of different color options can be a great thing to have for accessibility. thank you

I can see how having the clipping mask red, on a gray background could be a problem with color blindness. Changing the UI elements to be something other than gray would probably not help much, but changing the background and the clipping color would be helpful. Luckily this is something you can already do. In Settings (F12) > Viewport you can change the background color, and clipping colors can be changed for each individual clipping by selecting it and then changing the color next to it's Color property.

It's possible we can come up with some default settings for color blindness, but this is something we will have to look into before I can give you anything more concrete. For now, at least changing the background color should be a step in the right direction for you.

well the reason why this was an issue for me was more so because of the hierarchy than the viewport, and theres no option to change the hierarchy colors. apparently in the hierarchy anything thats using the clipping mask is supposed to be highlighted in red Im told, but because of my specific color blindness, light reds look like grey too me, so I cant see it at all.
I guess having different colored themes is something that can help with this.

The lines are based on the colors of various items. Clipping attachments are red by default, so the tree lines are red, but if you change the clipping attachment color then the tree lines will change too.

There is a setting to not use colored lines in the tree, under User Interface:

Image removed due to the lack of support for HTTPS. | Show Anyway

When unchecked all the lines are gray. The lines can be helpful but are not crucial to using the app. Before Spine 4.1 we did have any tree lines at all! some people may not want the clutter of the lines in the tree, so we provide this setting. If you find the colors don't help, you could uncheck this box.

While you can set the color of many items in Spine, I assume there is still quite a bit more we can do to make Spine more color blind friendly. If you run into other areas that are problematic, please let us know and we'll try to address them.

One thing I would like to add is that the clipping range is displayed in the Draw Order section of the Tree view, and the highlight color also changes according to the color set for the clipping attachment. This is a screenshot of the highlight color in yellowish green. (The color indicating the clipping area in the viewport will also change.)

I hope this will help you.
