Hello there! Im a former Spine user but it have been some years since I used the application. I now work as a freelancer and want to convince my client to expand the project and include some beautiful animations.
I dont usually work as an animator these days and I wanted to get the greenlight from the client before purchasing a full Spine-licence. SO! I dowloaded the Spine Trial and opened my old projects in hope that I could run the animations and record the screen to get some convincing screen recordings.
When opening the projects the images are invisible, it looks like they are all there in the library and there are no linking problem. I only see the skeleton structure, no images.
So, my question is this: Is the missing images a Trial-version restriction or is there any way to get the images to show, using the Trial-version?

Thanks!

The issue you're experiencing with invisible images in the Spine Trial version is not a restriction of the trial itself. The Spine Trial is designed to have all the features of Spine Professional, including the ability to display images. There are several potential reasons why images might not be showing up in your projects:

  1. Missing or Incorrect Paths: Ensure that the images are correctly located in the path specified within your Spine project. If the images have been moved or if the project is looking for them in a different directory, they won't display.

  2. Compatibility Issues: If your projects were created with an older version of Spine, there might be compatibility issues with the current version of the Spine Trial. Try checking if there's an update or a specific setting that needs adjustment for older projects.

  3. Graphics Hardware or Software Issues: Rarely, the issue might be related to your computer's graphics hardware or software settings. Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date.

Since the trial version is intended to showcase all the capabilities of Spine, including image display, the problem likely lies elsewhere. It's not a limitation of the trial version to hide images or restrict their display.

Spinebot is correct! As a fourth option, if you have used skins, make sure that a skin is selected and active in the skins node.

If the problem persists, attaching an image that shows the Spine interface and the problem may help!
