In game armor customization

Hi,

im working on a game and we want to give the player a basic 'armor customization option' for example
change primary and secondary color of the armor. i also want to animate the armor.
i was thinking of adding 2 images to a single bone the lower one with the primary color and the second one with an alpha channel and secondary color. and change the saturation and brightness in unity. is there away so that i can animate both at the same time with FFD? or is there a simpler way to achieve this?

Ffd keys don't get carried across between skins. You could write a script to do so ( I would only really suggest this if you're a professional studio and I can go into more detail of what you would have to do)

How complex is your armour/art style. You could have it drawn white grey and black and colour the slot to make different colours. This way you won't need to re Animatefor each skin
