Watching this tutorial, setting up the skeleton should be as easy as
1) selecting the parent bone
2) drawing the new bone while holding the CTRL key to select the image and naming convention for the new bone

Unfortunately, this does not seem to be working for me with the process as outlined in the above video:
In CREATE tool, I click on the ROOT BONE as my parent, and then draw the new bone that I want. I then hold down the CTRL key to select the image I want to be attached to that bone. The bone that is created does NOT have the selected image attached to it, and is not taking the naming convention of the image that was selected using the CTRL key. Instead, the new bone is located at the bottom of the skeleton hierarchy, and is simply named "bone." I am also not able to move the bone around and adjust it's position while holding down CTRL as shown in the video.
Any advice would be appreciated, as setting up skeletons using the method outlined in the video would be incredibly helpful for our complex characters.
