boazgabai Hi! Recently I've made a PNG export for preview uses. Out of some reason images were cropped, and it doesn't look very good on my presentation. Does anyone knows how to fix it??? Thanks!
Erika by cropped do you mean some of the images have portions that do not fit inside the png frame or the fact that different animations have different png proportions?
Erika It is not very clear to me, did you cut the png manually or was Spine that cut it? Because we mostly hear from users wanting their png export to be cut, so this time would be a first. What settings did you use to export? Did you have only one skeleton in the file? Is this a frame close to setup pose or is it for example scaled up?
boazgabai Hi, I did not cut that PNG- that's the way it was rendered by Spine. My setting is the normal export PNG sequance in Spine Essential (maybe that's the problem??) There was only one skeleton on this file- but with 2 skins. In this specific frame there was no scaling up and it's prety much as it is in the setup mode. I could not find in the settings a way to define the max export canvas. Thanks!
Erika Could you send the project to contact@esotericsoftware.com so I can have a look at it? and please specify this thread and the animation you wanted to export
Pharan The temporary fix can be to add a large image behind the skeleton in Spine so it becomes the basis of the final crop. You can set the color of that image to be fully transparent if you want to keep background transparent.
Nate We'd really like to see the project file and images so we can fix this. Maybe you can email them? contact@esotericsoftware.com
marciotf Hi, Any idea when this will be fixed? Is there a way for me to downgrade to an older version while this is not fixed in current version? Thx.
Erika Hello marciotf, rather than downgrading you could try placing a transparent png covering the whole area of your animations in setup mode, then export. We're on it but for now this should work neatly if you just need png exports.
Pharan Instead of a specific transparent PNG, it could also be any of your project's PNGs, but you turn the opacity of the attachment or slot all the way down so it becomes transparent. Again, this is just a temporary workaround.
