  • Hey guys,

Is it possible to have two Spine runtimes in the same Unity project? I'm wondering if it is possible to use the old runtime for old spine animations and the new runtime for new spine animations.

I have the spine files, the images and everything. My problem is that we're working on this game since 4-5 years ago so we're using Spine 2.1.27 and the scale works different since Spine 3.0.0 so if I update the runtime in Unity to the latest version, I'll have to re-export every single animation and probably fix something in the animations because now the scale works differently when a parent bone is scaled nonuniformly. So, what I want to do (and I don't know if it is possible or not) is to keep using the old runtime for the old animations and start using the new runtime for new animations. Is that possible?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Elm,

I'm an energetic, hard-working, well-organized young(ish) 2D animator from Argentina, featured by Spine on their showcase (http://esotericsoftware.com/spine-showcase#one-eye-ant) and featured twice on Behance (https://www.behance.net/fedepuopolo).

I have experience working on motion graphics for artists like Katy Perry in After Effects, on digital campaigns in Flash for brands like Heineken, on skeletal animations in Spine2D for several games, and on experimental projects such as mapping on buldings or stop motion animations using just my camera, papers and scissors. For more information, you can visit my portfolio on Behance or my demo reel:

I don't know if this is important for you, but I have original licenses for Spine2D Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud CC and Houdini (I'm learning, not a pro... yet). so you're not going to have problems showing my work if we start working together. Besides, I'm an International Ambassador at GDC, I'm a TEDx organizer and I have experience doing work-for-hire and working on my own games on Unity.

It would be a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with you, so please let me know what do you think about my profile.

    Thanks for your time.

  • Hi, I'm a 2D animator from Argentina featured by Spine in their showcase: http://esotericsoftware.com/spine-showcase#one-eye-ant

Please check out my personal website (http://fedepuopolo.com) and my demo reel (

I have experience doing motion graphics animations for artist like Katy Perry using After Effects, 2D FX for games using Animate (Flash) and skeletal animations using Spine2D for engines like Unity and libGDX.

If you agree, it would be great to see a reference of the art of your game in order to send you a budget for the animations of this project.

  • Nice, please send me more information to fedepuopolo@gmail.com.

I have Spine2D Pro, so I can work with meshes deformation, IK, and more.

If do you want to talk, please add me to Skype (fedepuopolo).

  • Hey Carol,

Thanks for your awesome message. I'm from Argentina so hablo español as primary language. Where are you from?

Please send me more information about the project by email to fedepuopolo@gmail.com. I can't work for revenue share because I have a contract with GamesFounders to publish my games with a company that we've created with them as investors/partners but I have freedom to do work-for-hire and experimental projects. If you have a small budget (or any budget) don't be shy, we can also talk and see if it is possible for me to collaborate somehow.

BTW, my Skype ID is fedepuopolo.
